Amazing walk: Lands end to John o’Groats, without sleeping under a roof. Day one.

1st May 2013. Two young men, Robbie and Dave, have just started an amazing Lands end to John o’Groats walk to raise money for the charity that I work for. The charity, Emmaus Oxford, houses homeless people and gives them work recycling furniture.
Robbie and Dave are paying all their own expenses and have vowed not to spend one night under a roof – in order that they can understand better the people that they are raising money for! The walk is over 1000 miles and they expect to do it in about 3 months. Our hats go off to them for their courage. To find out more about their walk and to keep track of their progress as they go along see this blog: http://emmausoxforddotcom.wordpress.com/

Perhaps you will feel inspired to walk with them some of the way or even to support them!

    • all the news is at the emmaus oxford blog (link in initial post.) They have walked through Cornwall and Devon and are now in Somerset. Averaging about 18 miles per day!
