  1. Now this one speaks to me although there are many moments when I’d much prefer nothingness to having the live them. The best part of such times is when I emerge, and find, in the absence of pain, a renewed joy in the loveliness of life

  2. Hmm, that made me think of those who I’ve watched waste away with disease and resulting pain. Death was a precious anticipation for them and each moment of their lives painful. They never emerged from that death wish in the long months of their suffering.

    • that’s why eternity doesn’t have much savour for me – alright if you can healthily explore the universe but not if you are trapped in some way.
