HAIKU 38

Peeling an onion,
I search out its soul, and find:
a pocket of air.

  1. Nice Haiku – but is the center of an onion a pocket of air? I always see it as the essence – perhaps the soul of the onion, certainly the part which holds the ability to grow and reproduce which is, surly, part of the overriding goal of all life.

  2. I will have to slice carefully next time! – certainly it seemed to have air at the centre. Nothing wrong with that though. Emptiness can be seen as a connection point with everything.
