Abandoning hope
in the bright morning sunshine

  1. Your blog has always been laced with a preoccupation with death but I enjoyed your prior post in which the fascination seemed to have stimulated a more intense joy in living. Did you intend this haiku to do likewise?

    • Hmm, even before cancer that was a vain hope, one which has fascinated humans through the ages. Although I admit that most religions promise forms of immortality.
